Richard Noah is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) with 25+ years of experience in the financial services industry. He founded Legacy Financial Services to offer high-quality, genuine comprehensive financial planning services to his clients.

He adheres to a professional code of ethics and stays current on planning strategies and financial trends through continuing education.

A lifelong resident of Northwest Iowa, Richard was raised in Cherokee, Iowa, and graduated from Buena Vista College in Storm Lake in 1989. He then spent 10 years in Sioux City with a private financial planning firm. Richard and his wife, Amy, wanted the easier pace of a small town, so they moved to Spencer in 1999 where they enjoy a fulfilling life with their three children: Andrew, Cal, and Autumn.

Richard’s main leisure activity is spending time with his family. The Noah family has an active lifestyle, which includes camping, participating in family events and attending activities their children are involved in. When time allows, Richard and his wife enjoy taking a leisurely ride on his Dyna Wide Glide Harley Davidson. He also likes to spend time with friends on his road bike and has participated in the Iowa Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, also known as RAGBRAI, on several occasions.  Richard is active with his church and recently served as a member of the Finance Committee.

Richard strongly believes in giving back to the community. He has served as President as well as Treasurer of the Kiwanis Daybreakers Club, is a member of the Spencer Ambassadors through the Chamber of Commerce, and is also a member of the Spencer YMCA Foundation.

His favorite quotes come from two super achievers. The first is from famed UCLA basketball coach John Wooden: “Things work out best for those who make the best of how things work out.” The other is from former United States President Ronald Reagan: “There are no limits to growth because there are no limits of human intelligence, imagination and wonder.”
